The Story Behind this Home....
This House was picked up and moved from its previous location on 17 Juniper Court. Our client owned the lot and home and wanted to build a
new house on his lot and get rid of the one that was there. After Habitat for Humanity declined to take the home due to the cost of moving it
under the power lines, we stepped in with a different solution. The home was only ten years old, and Mark himself had framed it when it was
originally built so we knew it was of good quality and that it would be a shame to tear it down. Heron Bay Builders purchased the home and
another Lot in Ocean Pines on which to move the home. Because the home did not have to travel under the power lines it significantly reduced
the cost of moving it just a couple miles down the road. So, on a chilly day in February of 2008, a team from Expert House Movers led by Gabriel
Matikyo met us and began the long process that would be the first of its kind in Ocean Pines.

Long heavy boards go on the empty lot first... |

Once the boards were on the ground, the house was backed into the lot. |

| Moving the Home into the right position took over an hour of carefully pulling in and out of the lot. |
A bridge of wooden planks was built over the ditch in front of the house to allow the truck to back in. |
