Heron Bay Builders has been in business for over five years now. We’re a small, customer service driven company, specializing in complete custom home building. Mark Smith is the owner and president of Heron Bay Builders. Mark has been in the construction business for over thirty years and nearly all of that experience has been in building custom homes. From the moment a client requests an estimate on their house to the day we procure the certificate of occupancy, Mark makes himself accessible to the client at all times, and makes it his business to keep them up to date and completely satisfied throughout the entire process. Much of his work can be seen in Ocean Pines, Ocean City, and the surrounding areas in Worcester and Wicomico counties. Since 1984 he ran his own framing and trim business then in 2002 he and Scot Eberly started Heron Bay Builders.

Scot Eberly, of Eberly Designs Inc. is part owner of the company, as well as his own home design business. Scot received an architectural degree from Thaddeus Steven College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He’s worked for various construction companies in the area since 1982, acting as an architectural designer, project manager, and also in worked in estimation and sales. In 2002 after gaining twenty years of experience in the field he opened Eberly designs, as an architectural design and drafting business.  The same year he partnered with Mark Smith and together, they opened Heron Bay Builders.

From its beginning Heron Bay Builders has been a flexible and diverse building group. Our projects have consisted from vacation homes to full time residences, from palatial extravagance to charming simplicity. We will bend to fit any budget, and still maintain the level of distinctive quality you expect and deserve. We also respect your right to choose whatever design you please, whether you use our in house design team or you bring a set of your own prints, we’ll make sure the house you want lies within your budget, or we’ll show you options to make it work.
